After Christmas

Well, Christmas has come and gone. I thoroughly enjoyed the day. Friends came by on Christmas Eve and we caught up on news. Christmas day we stayed home (first time in about 5 years) and had a fun, lazy day.

I am going to be starting a new venture:

I will be making all things for pets.....dog coats, dog art, cat art, cards , journals, etc. Hope you will all come by when the web site is up and running. I will keep you posted.

Happy Holidays!!!

Edgar

Edgar Allen Poe

Halloween always makes me think of Edgar. One of my favorite stories is "The Telltale Heart".
I have 3even recruited my daughter to the Edgar fan club (doesn't really exist). What is your favorite tale?

Still working

I am still working on my sea series. I am considering moving onto beach scenes. I've done 4 underwater pieces already so I think I need to come up for air !

Time constraints make it difficult to work everyday. I do try to at least do a background or two and leave the creative part to times when I have a couple of hours to play.

My art is my therapy.........and it has gotten me through some pretty difficult times.

New art

This is a second collage in my underwater series

Irene

Well, we thought we got through Irene without incident...but no...our neighbor's huge oak tree fell into our yard. No one was hurt but the neighbor was pretty shaken up. I'll be waiting for the tree guys today.

Wildwood

Went to Wildwood yesterday............didn't get any photos because we were at the water park.
However, the last time we went there was about 12 years ago. I seemed less crowded but maybe its because we went during the week. Mind you, I'm not complaining, it was nice to walk the boardwalk without being jostled and pushed along! The shops were selling the usual beach faire. I still would have liked some photos to compare with the older ones.

I am still working on my sea series. I have started a seahorse using my own painted papers just like the fish. I wikll post soon.

inspiration

I find inspiration in many places but I began finding interest in collage when my daughter was young. I read many Eric Carle books to her and always loved his illustrations (as well as the stories) . I find his work inspirational. So, take a peek at his work, you may be inspired too!

Long time

Its been a long time since I've posted. I've been starting a new venture...doggie coats. I am in the process of making samples and finding dog models for photos.

I also have a few new items in my Etsy Shop, take a peek.

I have also been experimenting with paper flowers, they seem t be all the rage.....

My studio is still too cold to work in which is why i have not done any painting or collage lately.....
