Thanksgiving

Well, its thanksgiving and its just me and my family (2 and 4 legged included)
We are staying home this year. I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Just remember that we all have something to be grateful for. Eeven the smallest thing is sometimes more than others have.

Workshop

Hi all,
Well, my friend and i have a Press release going into the Asbury Park Press on 11/21. We are doing a worlshop in Toms River at the Ocean Couty Libaray on Nov 25th at 6:30 PM and its FREE!! Some come on down! If you need info the link for the library is http://www.oceancountylibrary.org

This is the fifth workshop we have done . Each one was a litle different basexdc on the age and number of people who attended, We just make sure that each person goes home with one complete page.

I have been thinking about maybe getting together a few of my artist friends and running a weekend workshop (this would not be free:)). Have any of you out there done a weekend 'retreat' or 'workshop'? If so, please share.....

Seaside Horses

I still have not gotten around to making a collage with these pics but its on my list of "art to do"...

I went into the studio yesteday and started a painting on a small piece of scrap wood i found lying around. I was looking through a art print catalog and saw some work that i liked and it gave me the jumpstart i needed. I'll post when its completed.

Halloween is just a few days away and i still have to buy the rest of the items for my costume: the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, I still need a vest and a wig to cover my hair. The pocket watch I'm going to make out of foamcore.

Where do i find inspiration

I have been in a little bit of a 'creative funk" lately. I found inspiration in looking through some magazines at a friend's house today. I also read a few blogs that touched on the subject of "non creative days" . A few artists suggested that you should go to your studio and work...everyday whether you feel like it or not, change format, change your palette, make art bigger or smaller than what you are used to.....So, tomorrow, i am off to the studio after work and I will try to create something I am happy with....until then....
